RedLynx
Hi guys, I rely heavily on weapons, although I do learn from Sifu Douglas Wong's Wing Chun books. So in your opinion, because many M/A techniques will deal with a fight, when are they not enough, and weapons need to be brought into play? -Lynx"A fool can put on wisdom, but his foolisness will show." -Kurt DoplerNunchaku Sticks (chain variety)
SD
sometimes MA techniques are not enough even when there are no weapons brought into play. MAists, or anyone for that matter, may have to rely on weapons at one point in your life (hopefully not though). If a knife is pullled on you, give them your stuff, if a gun is pulled on you, give them your stuff. Always give your things away unless they ask for your life, or your families life. Then you may need to draw your weapons to protect yourself and your family. I feel that you should only use your knife if someone, or maybe 6 people are hell bent on killing you. Then you must kill them before they kill you, unfortunately you will probably go to jail for saving your own life. fucked up huh? However, back to the gun issue, if someone pulls a gun, and wants to kill you, your dead, unless it's pointed right at your chest, point blank range, then you have a chance to disarm the guy. You'd have to if he was gonna try and kill you, i mean your dead anyway if you don't do squat. If your talking about pulling a jackie chan and using your environment as weapons, sure go ahead, pick up that pipe and beat them with it
RedLynx
Ah, Jackie Chan. Yes he is well known for that approach of enviroment weapons. A good choice I'd say. Thanks for the advice. -Lynx"A fool can put on wisdom, but his foolisness will show." -Kurt DoplerNunchaku Sticks (chain variety)
