RedLynx
Hi guys, Not sure if it's the right forum, but is there such a move as a neck pinch or similar, that can knock your opponent unconcious? I've been trying to find out if there is, and if so how exactly to do it. Though I'd not deigned to try it on someone. I'd prefer using it to fighting and hurting. Is there such a move as this "neck pinch"? -Lynx"A fool can put on wisdom, but his foolisness will show." -Kurt DoplerNunchaku Sticks (chain variety)

three60roundhouse
It is said that if you hit a certain pressure point on the neck, it can cause your opponent to momentarily lose conciousness. I personally don't like using pressure points for a few reasons. For one, it is hard to get "just right" on the positioning. A centimeter off and you don't feel the pain, or it is much duller. Second, for most pressure points the pain is very strong, but not severe enough to really stop someone trying to seriously hurt you. 1st dan Tae Kwon DoYellow Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu16 Years OldGirls kick butt! omnifinite
Depends on your ki too, I'd say. More of a severe tap than a pinch. 1st Dan HapkidoColored belts in Kempo and Jujitsu
Karateka_latino
Hmm i don't like too much the idea of "pinch neck" to knock someone unconcious. I'd better use a "lion Kill" Choke for that. lol
sk0t
are you refering to a choke hold or a literal pinch (as in pressure point touch)...? sk0t"I shall not be judged by what style I know, but how I apply that style againsts yours..." Newtoitall
I think he's referring not to the vulcan neck pinch as much as he is just a pressure point hold. Im sure u've all seen it on a movie or tv show, the action guy reaches out to the unsuspecting victim and pinches his neck, the guy readily falls to the ground unconsious. Also, two good examples off the top of my head are spaceballs the movie, when hes trying to knock out the guard, and the body guard episode of the Simpsons 14 year old maleWrestler, looking at MAin Tennessee
JerryLove
And you don't typically want to use a strike to the neck as a knockout because it's not too difficult to actually kill (presuming you got the knockout). https://www.clearsilat.com
ThaiMonkey
In some law enforcement Pressure point control tactics clsses, they teach that a blow to the side of the neck can cause loss of control for a very short period of time. It's used to catch one off balance, and then take them down-removing the threat-but it's never done with anything besides a closed fist that I know of. Anything like an asp, pr-24, or even a chopping type strike would be considered excessive force.
