seikokaistudent Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Could someone please provide links to videos or diagrams demonstrating proper basic attacks and blocks of animal style kung fu, could be any style (snake, crane, tiger, etc.) I am making a movie with some friends, and would like the movements to look as authentic a possible. Zaine Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 No links come to mind, but you might want to look into a book call The Shaolin Grandmaster' Text. Not only does it give a good and interesting history of the Shaolin Order, but it gives you information of how many of the animal styles utilize blocks and strikes. darksoul Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 You can always look at forms. We have a few animal forms in SKK. Here's some Shaolin Kempo snake forms - Couldn't find a proper Stature of the Crane form but this is the closest to properly performed - Mantis form (actually REALLY well done, too bad the angle is bad) - Modified Swift Tigers form - Dragon (which is essentially all animals combined) - Shodan - Shaolin Kempo███████████████▌█
