Himokiri Karate Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I dont think he is an instructor. Its possible that he got permission to use the space from his instructor for shooting a video.Perhaps someone should find out what gym this is and warn the instructor that there is a student conducting this type of action. It begins with the knowledge that the severity of a strikes impact is amplified by a smaller surface area.
Kuma Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Are we sure this wasn't a challenge match? Schools sometimes get challengers and these types of fights can be pretty brutal. Beautiful side kick in either case.
Zaine Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I also doubt that this man was an instructor. It might be a challenge but those are getting much rarer in modern dojos. Not to say tht they don't happen, but they get written off more. I'm trying to wrap my head around why this fight even took place. Beautiful side kick in either case.Highly doubt it!The guy in the white pants looked like he didnt want to participate and was doing it due to peer pressure based on his facial expression. If you look at the crowd, you see young people and they where wearing casual clothing and there was no instructors peresented on either side.Yup looked like the typical youtube thug. That being said, the guy had a nice kick! It begins with the knowledge that the severity of a strikes impact is amplified by a smaller surface area.
Kuma Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Another video posted by the same individual who posted this video is titled "Close Door Challenges - San Shou vs Kung Fu" so I feel the two are related. The male in the grey sweatpants could have been trash talking and got himself into a pickle, and when he saw his opponent was better than him, lost the will to fight. Seen it happen before.

Seen it happen before.I rewatched the video and saw two adults and one holding a baby.Maybe your right, it may have been a challenge match. Nice kick but the guy who delivered it acts like he just KOed a prime mike tyson. It begins with the knowledge that the severity of a strikes impact is amplified by a smaller surface area.
Zaine Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Nice kick but the guy who delivered it acts like he just KOed a prime mike tyson. You're right, he does seem too proud over a feat that doesn't seem that big. The winners body language tells me that he wanted the fight. Also in the way that alerts the loser right before the knockout kick that the fight is back on. This suggests a timed bout in which there are some rudimentary rules governing it. Might be a fight club? Dobbersky Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I think this was a "Kung Fu" guy who slightly not thought about putting a chalenge out and was totally out of his depth. Thing is in the western world it seems a bit OTT but in China its normal practice. The checked on him and left him to recoverawesome side kick though "Challenge is a Dragon with a Gift in its mouth....Tame the Dragon and the Gift is Yours....." Harkon72 Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I believe that as a fighter you are only as good as the best opponent you face. I wasn't impressed by this guy. Look to the far mountain and see all.
