chrisw08 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Im teaching my 8 year old daughter nunchaku and ordered some 8 inch foam with two inch cord to practice with. I was wondering how many chain links were on the 8 inch foam nunchaku is it 7 like normal 5 4 or? I was just wondering how many chain links are on the 8 inch foam nunchaku
Zaine Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I think this depends on the manufacturer. I would imagine 7 would be the correct answer but I prefer cord so I don't have as much experience with chain as others might. yamesu Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Zaine is on the money.Generally (if you count the links attached to the bearings) there are 7 links.Speed chucks have 5.2 inch cord is closer to the 5 link than the 7, and give a better overall feel i think (particularly octagonal handles!)Osu. Harkon72 Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 This is why I favor Cord over Chain, you can have the cord any length you want! Look to the far mountain and see all.

Chains are uncomfortable, sure, but I feel that cords are more constricting and allow for better torque, if you take my meaning.
