What does it say about a school when it has an abundance of black belts but very, very, very few kyu ranks?

To me, it speaks about the intolerance towards the kyu ranks.

Look - we all have our EGOS - Every Time You knock someone's ability in Martial Arts - or knock a particular style - or Teacher of a particular style it's about Ego. It part of our nature - Putting ourselves on top of someone else.

Look - I'm Guilty of this - there was a time that my Teacher and Style was the best and everything was second rate. However, getting older and wiser  - My ego is not as big - But it's still there - One of the hardest things in life is being Honest with our selves - Martial Arts is no different.

I think ego is part of human nature, and it will always be. BUT it is our duty to fight it every day.

When I heard someone boasting or showing off how his style is better or his dojo is better or whatever, I cannot prevent thinking that the best way to block yourself of learning new things it precisely think that you always know everything.
