I think the term you're looking for is "Asian," heh!

It really depends on the family. I've heard of plenty of dojos in Japan and Okinawa that were less budo oriented than some in the West.

Only in the US Eves, in the UK Asian normally refers to Indian, Pakistani etc!

My nephew juan his only 8 and his a green belt and he is good he is so motivated he liked to spar and he is really good with his kata he would always get 1st place in sparring and kata and my niece lexie she got 1st place in her 2 tournament and shes only 6 and a yellow belt and soon my niece jorell will joined our shotokan karate school. ever since i was a kid i like martial arts but i started doing this dumb martial arts style I forgot whats the name but i quit because i wasnt feeling it but when shotokan comes i stick to it and i started at age 34 and I like it

I love Shotokan Karate Do and American Kenpo Karate
