JohnASE
Don't know if this has gotten national press yet, but last night, LL Cool J's Studio City house got broken into. The guy rushed J, and J broke the guy's nose and jaw! J then restrained the intruder until police arrived.I don't know if he has martial arts training, but he obviously works out a lot.For those who don't know, LL Cool J is the rapper who now acts in NCIS: Los Angeles. Kuma
Apparently he did some boxing as a youth and still incorporates it a bit into his workout routine. Seems to be about it.
Patrick
I'm surprised no one has made any "Mama Said Knock You Out!" jokes yet. Every other section of the internet appears to already have them! Heh.Seriously, though, I'm a fan of LL. Glad he's alright!Patrick Patrick O'Keefe - KarateForums.com AdministratorHave a suggestion or a bit of feedback relating to KarateForums.com? jaypo
Way to go, J!!There was a segment of NCIS where he was in the gym hitting on a machine called the "Nexersys". It's a training machine that you input programs into, and you punch on it. Well, one of my coworkers is part owner of the Nexersys company! But to answer the question, I'm not sure if he has formal training, but watching him hit the machine, he definitely has some skill! Check out Nexersys. Chael Sonnen is a sponsor. Jackie Chan has worked on it, and Uriah Faber did some work on it as well. sydneys
Funny how things come full circle. LL Cool J used to inspire me musically - now he's a physical combat icon! Cool guy - great thread too btw! "The mind need not wake for the body to work" Anon
bushido_man96
I heard about this incident. Good for him. I have no doubt there was some trash talking while he waited for the police to arrive. On a another note, I think this provides a good example of how to handle a home invasion. I'm sure he would have been justified in using a higher level of force, but it appears he did enough, and I personally don't see how he can be held liable for any kind of injuries on the intruder. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
