amp Posted September 5, 2002 Posted September 5, 2002 I was told by a swordsman that I could double the weight of my suburito bokken (45 1/2" long wooden sword) by drilling holes in it and putting in lead. Any idea as to how I could do this without having the lead come out? Or does anyone have a better idea? Thanks in advance yo. Know thyself.
justb Posted September 5, 2002 Posted September 5, 2002 Perpindicular to the cutting surface & wax them in. You can also use steel shot for a similar effect. Hope this helps Thanks B
KU Posted December 21, 2002 Posted December 21, 2002 As lead is soft you could make lengths of lead a little longer then the width of the suburito and burr them over like rivits ( but this might look a bit ugly). A bit of wood filler over the ends of some shorter lengths should do the trick as well. As long as the holes Perpindicular to the motion of the swing (as justb said) the lead souldn't need too much to hold it in. - Only by contrast can we see.- Each for his own.
