I know most people will disagree with me but I like the way the straight bo feels but I hate tapered bo's. Ive bought three and wasted my money. Now Im going to buy all new bo's. I hate how it feels when you swing it speeds up but doesnt feel balanced and kinda feels like it whips at the end. This is my personal opinion but just thought id share it.

I'm with you here. I love the straight Bo's, even though I've used the tapered ones before, and in that; I'll take the straight Bo's over the rest.

My bo isn't tapered, but it also isn't 6ft long or round--I had a bo custom made out of Ipe to be 6ft 6in long and octagonal. It changes the game a bit when you do weapons sparring against a bo that routinely breaks other bo :P

From the Bo family...I love the Eku [boat oar]; it's both straight and tapered all at the same time.
