tallgeese Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Interesting:http://www.graciemag.com/2012/06/exclusive-ibjj-pro-league-with-15000-payout-to-black-belts-in-december/I guess we'll have to see how, and if, it develops beyond the single event. http://alphajiujitsu.com/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJhRVuwbm__LwXPvFMReMww
ps1 Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Interesting indeed. I'm interested to see how the participants are selected. "It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenius."
ShoriKid Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 The competition has been heading toward something like this for a while frankly. I hope it does continue and grow. It would be nice to see the top competitors get the recognition, respect, and yes pay, of pro athletes. Kisshu fushin, Oni te hotoke kokoro. pittbullJudoka Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I guess they have to do something with all the criticsm they are recieving from the top competitors and the amount of guys opting out of big IBJJF competions to due things like ADDCC and ADDCC Pro Cup that actually pay them to compete.
ps1 Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Not to mention grapplers quest, which has cash prizes "It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenius."
