I like the "End Zone" name. What is the reason behind this name?

I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.

As part of our training, we emphasize on a specific fighting range that each EFS fighter feels most comfortable in. For example long range ( for those who perfer kicking at a safe distance) medium range ( for those who perfer hand strikes and close range kicks ) close range ( for those who are most comfortable with close-quarter combat techniques such as elbows, knees, headbutts and the clinch. ) and grappling range ( for those perfer to take te fight to the ground or throw their opponent. )

Personally I perfer to fight at close range, so this would be the area that I emphasive my training on (without leaving out other techniques from different ranges), and this would be refered to as my 'EndZone' because this range would be where I feel most comfortable and could most easily end a fight. :karate:

Sounds interesting, I am not a big fan of changing any of the traditional arts. But needs must and all that..........

Please dont create a sort of Dux Ryu hybrid. If you dont do this, you will always have my respect.

First of all i just want to say that by creating EFS i mean no disrespect to any of the traditional martial arts.

I've heard that although Frank Dux was a very bad person character-wise and also abused his Martial Arts Skill that his style was still quite effective. But you dont have to worry about another 'Dux Ryu Hybrid', EFS is meant to be an open-ended compelation of effective techniques and strategies from several different diciplines, NOT a 'Neo-Ninjutsu McDojo'.

It takes sacrifice to be the best.

There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy. And its only reward is that it's easy.

very very intresting....and it has a cool name..What arts did you take previously before making "EFS"? And which art has the most impact on your art "EFS"?

The arts i think that have most impacted EFS are likely Karate, Muay Thai and BJJ, however it would depend on the practitioner as to which on most influences them, see my post about "EndZones". Thanxs aboutt he name thing, it is kinda coll, i was hopin ppl wouldn't think it was a bit too flashy.

Hello, I am also a practitioner of Endzone Freestyle System(EFS). My instructor and close friend Matt(Endzone Freestyle Fighter) and I have been working hard to make the perfect martial art for quite a while now and have won many tournaments applying EFS. We are still far from being a perfect martial art but are still adding more techniques and theories. I am an assistant instructor and am happy to see that people keep coming back to us after the first class. Matt works the beginners quite hard and the expirienced even harder. I am very proud this eclectic system and will continue to train and contibute to this style( or rather, Freestyle). Additional feedback would be appreciated. :karate:
