WTF are changing their doboks for the next World poomse champs. Look pretty nice actually. They've moved away from the v-neck pull-over style to a wrap-over, similar to Karate gi. Also gone for white tops but coloured trousers.

The new uniforms do look pretty sharp, however I dislike the collar. I think the black should stretch all the way down the front. Maybe they wanted to separate themselves from TSD by only going partway down?

Interesting Dobok

it looks really comfy but would it take hapkido style practice

Does it mean that the 2012 Olympics all the Fighter will need to wear this dobok too?

I like them, especially the yellowish one up front center. However, I dislike their brand being on the outside; I prefer the logo being on a label tag and there only!!

I'm of the same mind as myataschool, sharp, but I really think the color on the color going only part way to the hem is a bit jarring. Still, nice effort. Will the collar match the rank of each competitor?

sensei8, coming out of BJJ, it's nice when there is a minimum of advertising on the outside of the gi  I swear, there are companies out there that can't stop putting their logo on your gi until you have no space left for any patches of your own.

No, I can always put a patch over a logo, unless the logo/advertisement is way to big to cover.

I wear 6 patches, and I get your point sir.

No its only for poomse/forms competitors. The kyorugi/sparring competitors are still required to wear the standard v-neck dobok. Also I don't know but I think its only a requirement for competitors on a international level who tend to specialise in only sparring or only forms. Otherwise it'd be pretty annoying to keep changing dobok at a competition.

Yeah I agree about the collar. Would have looked better if they at least made it go down to where the belt sits. The colours as far as I can make out are black collar for adult black belts, red and black to match the junior (poom) black belts and colour belts just have an all white dobok.
