three60roundhouse Posted September 4, 2002 Posted September 4, 2002 Perhaps we should all go back to 5th grade English class... I'm joking everyone, have fun....I am a grammar freak, always correcting others, but my spelling sucks! So there you have it, now you know my grasp of language and I am digging a larger grave for this thread! 1st dan Tae Kwon DoYellow Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu16 Years OldGirls kick butt!
Karateka_latino Posted September 4, 2002 Author Posted September 4, 2002 Oh and by the way.... In the Aikikai Panama Web page. They Do Call him O'Sensei instead of O sensei.. You should correct them too. They are the lead organization of Aikido in this country and they don't spell the name of the founder well. lol
Elektra Posted September 4, 2002 Posted September 4, 2002 Elektra, from your comments thus far, I can see that perhaps Karate forums is not for you. Maybe https://www.iknownothingaboutmartialarts.com, would be better. If you could answer the threads constructively, perhaps we could get along better. heeey... cool down there, buddy of course, i'm flattered that you're inviting me on your new forum - i'm sure you're a great administrator! i didn't mean to offend you with my comment, and it HAS proven constructive: you've started paying more attention to your spelling, and your messages are easier to read. congratulations! and btw, if you start boiling when someone makes an innocent observation like that, then perhaps you need to learn more about the philosophy of life that most martial arts promote. chill, dude, chill. you don't want to get your ass kicked cuz you lost your head when the enemy picked on your grammar. and take things with good humor, eh? Elektra P.S. thanks SubmissionFighter for sticking up for me!
omnifinite Posted September 5, 2002 Posted September 5, 2002 I don't think anyone in Aikido is known to "boil" . Every ounce of aggression they allow into their bodies they pay for in the dojo. I think his issue was that you appeared to be judging the content of his post by its packaging rather than, well, the content. Oh well... back to the topic. We should probably be glad (Gracies and whoever else included) that in this day and age the loss of a fight usually doesn't mean you're maimed or dead. I wonder what the developers of these arts would think about the use of a "referee". 1st Dan HapkidoColored belts in Kempo and Jujitsu
Kensai Posted September 5, 2002 Posted September 5, 2002 Thanks omnifinite, that is what I ment by my last post. All good Aikidoka's have a great ability not to "boil", however I never said I was a good Aikidoka. lol. But I am always trying to be. No offence to the Aikikai Panama Web page but in the UK anyway it is spelt O Sensei. And you can be sure that the Aikikai Panama Web page will be getting a very hard hitting email about their spelling. But I would like to see the UFC, with no point system, just first to pass out or die, where the combatants were actually fighting for their lives. Although this seems a little sick, it would be interesting. Take Care
Karateka_latino Posted September 5, 2002 Author Posted September 5, 2002 If the UFC changes to real fights to do the death like on the Roman Coliseum.... would you go and fight for the honor of your style, kensai?? lol
Kensai Posted September 5, 2002 Posted September 5, 2002 No. But then I would not fight in a UFC, do you think I am mad. But to add the fact that someone might die, it would be interesting to see. Thats is all I ment by it. But perhaps not. Perhaps Robots that could have the complete abilitys of the great masters. Then see. Just an idea for microsoft. Take Care
Karateka_latino Posted September 12, 2002 Author Posted September 12, 2002 Looks like They Won't change the decision Afterall and won't give Royce Gracie the NO-Contest. I think what they want is hype a Re-match.
jiu-jitsu fighter Posted January 27, 2003 Posted January 27, 2003 royce didn't lose he might have lost if he continued , thats not the point though, he was not submitted , and why the F*** couldn't the referee see , hes the ref , they should have been restarted, theres no controversy about it, it wasn't yoshidas place to say that royce was out, the ref should have came to that conclusion, i think a rematch is in order and just in case i think they should wear no-gi, with normal rules not these awkward rules that royce made -up poor reffing , thats what it comes down to, it should be like football , where they can say exactly what happened with all the different camera angles "When we go to the ground, you are in my world, the ground is the ocean, I am the shark, and most people don't even know how to swim"
Venezolano Posted January 28, 2003 Posted January 28, 2003 I would love to see a re-match between Royce and Yoshida. Valencia - Venezuela.
