Well put 360, but I wont agree simply on what I think a martial art master should and should not be, in perhaps 40 years i will look back and think of the Gracies in a different mannor.

Cloud 9, this is when you think you are invicible. As I think that you said 360, one of the Gracies, used every oppotunity to slag off other arts. I have read the Gracies challenge . However they did not except the challenge of Emin Botztep, so not putting your money where you mouth is can be a little hippocytical.

I dont think I can ever agree with you on the Gracies being great Martial artists, I just see them as great fighters and sportsmen, I guess thats the difference in my mind.

I have actually been to a BJJ training hall, it is very interesting, but it really does not offer me everything I want. But like I have said tons of times, I respect BJJ as an art, just not its creators.

Good arguement though 360.

Take Care

I'm sorry - I wouldn't normally pick on something like this, but I can't help noticing that you live in an English-speaking country... :bigwink:

also:

How do you manage that? At the very least, you should respect them for creating the art, eh? It's not exactly a small thing to do... :)

Gracies need to learn to accept defeat.

As I see it, the only Gracie who has a serious problem accepting defeat is Rickson; even I think his 400-0 record is rubbish. Royce has had his fair share of losses before; this match has nothing to do with the "W" or "L" on his scorecard but with his honor.

Kensai, don't pick on the girl... i don't think she has say something to bother you.

Karate forums is for experts and newbies, the idea is we all learn.

Lets all be friends, that's what is setting us apart from the other forums :)

Submission, I am in no way sexist. Therefore, I wont tone down or up my answers, for either sex. Women are as good at MA's as men and they can argue just as well as men, if not better. So I am sure that she can take it. Although I admire your white knight attitude. lol.

I would agree however that karateforums is about learning. But about MA's, not picking apart my grammer. As I remember it, you at one point argued with me, because I did the same about the O Sensei and O'Sensei thing. So I am only doing exactly what you did to me. ;) So perhaps one should think before lecturering.

Take Care.
