Can anyone point me in the right direction with regard to reference material on vital / pressure point striking.

With so many books, videos etc.. on the market, I cant tell what's good and what's rubbish.

As far as PP go when my students ask me where they are. I say push on your own body. If it hurts you its a good chance it will hurt someone else.

Dear Johnny G,

I have found the best books on pressure points, is George Dillman. He has a couple of books that have really informative and effective techniques.

He teaches "Ryukyu Kenpo Karate".

James Lacy also some books and videos. I have seen some clips off the internet, that he has done. VERY NICE!!!!

I think both of them have a website but you'll have to check it out. I hope this helps.

Wow... he should really not be messing with stomach 9 like that. Let's hope the people he's doing demos on don't have heart attacks or strokes later in life.

As for reference... this is a great site on pressure point locations.

The Dim Mac or death touch, is less about pressure points and more about Ki/Chi meridians. A good book is Essential Anatomy for Healing and Martial arts, by Marc Tedeschi.

Thankyou everyone for your comments, suggestions and links. I'll get cracking on some serious research..
