bushido_man96
Sparring with my instructor, he spinning back kicked me in the chest so hard I flew into the wall and managed to hit the dry wall perfectly between two studs. There was literally a torso shaped dent in the drywall. I'm sure the landlord appreciated it (not).I've taken one of those in the chest once. I didn't get thrown back that far, but it really took the wind out of my sails. I had to stop sparring and take a breather. Good times. And of course, there was an audience. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
evergrey
Today:My Shihan called "Yame" when I was sparring a nidan. I stupidly dropped my guard immediately... and ate her right hook, straight to my mouth, lol! Tonight we were wearing NO protection... no gloves... no mouthguards. And though we're a Kyokushin dojo, sometimes we punch to the head and face. And she's a headhunter for sure, hah. My lip is fat and all KINDS of interesting colors! Didn't lose any teeth though.Next round, I cheerfully punched her in the head a few times. If I'm going to get struck in the face, I'm not going to just keep tapping my opponent in the belly, heh.Man I had so much fun!Every time I look in the mirror I laugh so hard though. http://kyokushinchick.blogspot.com/"If you can fatally judo-chop a bull, you can sit however you want." -MasterPain, on why Mas Oyama had Kyokushin karateka sit in seiza with their clenched fists on their thighs. Dobbersky
At A Demo at a School, I was performing Pinan Nidan (Heian Shodan) infront of 7-11 year olds (around 100 Kids) on the final sequence I found a wet patch on the floor and ended up breakfalling instead on Knife hand Block. to which the whole audience decided that it was funny!I rolled back up and finished the Kata. I think I gave an "excuse" as to what that it was part of the kata or something but They knew it and i knew it but I got 5 students out of the Demo!!! pittbullJudoka
I think my best one was attempting a flying arm bar one the advice of someone in the gym. After securing the arm I flew into position. Then extended fully into the arm bar, when I landed I found the separation in the mats all the way to the concrete floor. Needless to say I knocked myself out. I came to with my instructors grasping my hands telling to let go of the arm bar because he had tapped.

It would have been like a double loss, KO/Tapout. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
