beagstkd
I started at 38 and was the fastest to reach black belt in my schools 20 year history. There are many things I think I could do better if I had started at a younger age...who knows. That's why once you start and are hooked you keep training. No matter what your age is you always want to be better today than you were yesterday.

conrad665
My dojo is full of adults, at ages 33 or more, and they seem to have too much fun. Many didn't find enough time when they were younger, but it is never late.
Catfish
I started at 29 - coming up 15 years of karate now and still learning new things. When I took my provisional black belt (shodan-ho) grading there was a lady going for 1st Dan who was 73. Never too old.

deckerdude
LoL, i am 54 and have just started training! I feel alive, invigorated, happy and very much contented when i come home after my two sessions a week, its absolutely amazing because i have never felt this way before about ANY form of excercise, indeed before i took up Karate, i looked for excuses to get OUT OF hard work, but now i relish digging the garden and moving stone/blocks/bags of cement and slabs as an aide to my Karate training, so BRING IT ON I SAY!!Todome sums it up perfectly in my opinion, and what a laugh it was too!!
