Dobbersky
You dont need to be a Nth Degree Black Belt with Championships left right and centre to have confidence!!! Infact you don't need to be trained in martial arts either!!!I've know middle Kyu (Gup/Kup) grades with more confidence in Sparring etc than some lower grade Dan Grades. MR Judobrah, I'm not too sure if you are mixing up Ego with Confidence. Martial arts is NOT about EGO we are not CobraKai (from KarateKid) for most of us Mr Miyagi is more of a role model than any other characters from Cobrakai "Challenge is a Dragon with a Gift in its mouth....Tame the Dragon and the Gift is Yours....." Zaine
what are the chances of him pulling a head kick if he achually whanted to?Pretty good if he's trained it.MR Judobrah, I'm not too sure if you are mixing up Ego with Confidence. Martial arts is NOT about EGO we are not CobraKai (from KarateKid) for most of us Mr Miyagi is more of a role model than any other characters from CobrakaiIt does seem like you're having this mix up. From what I've read of your posts you're fairly young, and also pretty new to martial arts, so let me give this advice to you. Everyone joins karate for different reasons, whether good or bad. For me, I was bullied a lot and I needed to have a way to defend myself. Despite the reasons, most of us have the goal to gain skill, and that comes through training. After awhile though, it ceases to become about skill and becomes about understanding. The people who allow martial arts to influence their lives understand that it isn't about how much skill you get, but that you understand not only the techniques that you, but how to live your life outside of martial arts. So don't let being the very best be your goal. Don't be worried about how many techniques you know or your belt color. Focus on being a good practitioner, and the rest will fall in line. Martial arts training is 30% classroom training, 70% solo training.https://www.instagram.com/nordic_karate/

Zaine
I gained confidence. I never had to use it after I started taking it. I doubt they knew. bushido_man96
i am talking about skill, lets say a guy with the credentials that i described earlier, lets say he meats an atacker he procedes to give a front kick that he has practised 1000 times(sparring, drills e.t.c) what are the exactly odds of that kick work?i mean hes confidence will be high frow all off his training, but at what level is that guy skill at?can you get the picture?it will depend on the person, but at that kinda level of training what can you expect?think about it this way,if bas rutten meet an atackerForgive me if I'm wrong, but it sounds to me like you are trying to attach a "level" to someone in the same vein that role-playing games might do to characters. It really isn't the same thing, and it becomes tough to really quantify a "skill level," in my opinion. Skill level can be high, but experience can be low, and vice versa, so it really can get tough to try to quantify things like this. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
