I dont know if it would work but I thought it could be a good idea to have a post with a collection of good marketing.

The problem is as well as helping real good instructors and Dojos it could also help McDojo's .

I was thinking this Xmas about doing a xmas karate gift experience. A person could buy some one this for xmas. This is essentially what my Gran done for me many years ago. Not sure about how much "experience" they would get and what the cost would be yet. Its not for money it more people I get in the more people I give the "gift" of karate. Its done so much for me.

Any one had any experience with this? All Thoughts and recommendations welcomed good or bad. Any other marketing ideas people have worked well ?

If I do this I will post details up of how successfully it was and statistics its only going to help karate around the world lol

I have done the Karate for Christmas thing in the past ($49 for 6 weeks and a free uniform, etc) and did not find it very productive. I find that internal referrals from present students work better as they can pre-qualify their friends and family and getting them into the school with FREE lessons as a gift from students makes more of an impact. Offering FREE lessons to them over the holiday break gets them into your school so they can see what you are all about and has had a better conversion rate for me.

Yea that is one the things I was going to do as well. Does it work well for you ?

Its not so much about profit or business just karate done so much for me so I love to return the favour.

I've never done it (I don't own a school currently) but have heard of it, and heard it worked fairly well. Just depends on your student base.
