Bobbing and weaving is a form of slipping a punch. Its not just something you decide to do and do it well. Like any other technique it takes time to develop. Its not always viable, but useful depending on the situation (Even with kicks and knees).

Don't think, feel......

The past is no more; the future is yet to come. Nothing exist except for the here and now. Our grand business is not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but to do what's clearly is clearly at hand...Lets continue to train!

I would say this is where Sabaki comes in, any movement is there, if you are good at perceiving what the kata interpretation is
