monkeygirl Posted August 29, 2002 Posted August 29, 2002 Bon especially loves the idea of dojo bunnies because he's a dojo hare himself I think he read this thread and got some ideas 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
Karateka_latino Posted August 29, 2002 Posted August 29, 2002 ha,ha,ha, Well, if I ever go to a Dojo who have a sexy woman as intructor. Then i'll just have to hold myself because i tend to avoid that. I've been friends with some teachers on School but nothing far from that. Now, if she see working out in the class and start to develop a crush on me...... Nah, i won't do anything, my girlfriend would KILL me if i do. lol
Radok Posted August 29, 2002 Posted August 29, 2002 seriously, Bon! joining Karate for a girl! man, this must be your favorite topic. If you can't laugh at yourself, there's no point. No point in what, you might ask? there's just no point. Many people seem to take Karate to get a Black Belt, rather than getting a Black Belt to learn Karate.
BlueDragon1981 Posted September 3, 2002 Posted September 3, 2002 The dojo bunny in my school just got promoted again. Meanwhile the popularity of the dojo is going to suffer because she should not be where she is. Oh well not my business. Im going to get my black belt then move on to another style or another teacher.
ramymensa Posted September 4, 2002 Posted September 4, 2002 We had such a bunny and she tried her "charms" with sensei. Unfortunatelly he is "ocuppied" so he didn't bother to respond. The poor thing thought he might fall because he used to smile at her and chat outside the dojo. Well that's what he usually does ... with everybody. He likes to talk and smiles to his students so they feel OK. As for our bunny ... she didn't grade. He he he She stinks anyway World Shotokan Karate
monkeygirl Posted September 5, 2002 Posted September 5, 2002 Unfortunately I have the problem in reverse...if I smile at a guy maybe ONCE (just to cheer him up...I don't like sad students), he thinks I'm madly in love with him. Now, I'm getting students' brothers...that I haven't even talked to!! I swear all you have to do is look at them. 1 2 3 *forehead smack* 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
hobbitbob Posted September 5, 2002 Posted September 5, 2002 A friend of mine in Seattle who switched to the Hayashi-Ha style of Shi-to (maybe it won't be edited now!)ryu from Goju, due to commute time, told me about a young lady (early 20s) at ther old school who would always come to class heavily made up, and liked to flash her "implants" for the instructors to see. She didn't last long, from what I gathered. It seems sweating (at least in the Karate way) wasn't on her agenda. There have always been Starkadders at Cold Comfort Farm!
ramymensa Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 Back to our bunny. She is STILL in love with poor sensei and imagine her face when she saw him wearing only pants. The guy took off his karateki shirt in order to dress "casually" and she was there. So were 3 of us discussing something with him. She remained speachless. She just melts ... he he World Shotokan Karate
CheekyMusician Posted December 30, 2002 Posted December 30, 2002 Heehee. I sound like a dojo bunny! lol I joined karate to learn karate and didn't have any non karate thoughts about my instructors or fellow students for the first few weeks. Now I have major crushes on my sensei, the assistant instructor and a black belt student! Gah! I'm only 17 though, so you know what teenage hormones are like...I have an excuse! I don't go around chasing them though....on the contrary, I tend to avoid them as I always go bright red talking to them! Anyway, the instructors are both married and in their 40s, so I really don't think I'd be in with a chance somehow! Occassionally my crushes decide to take their tops off and my face just lights up, so yip, I think they might just have guessed that I like them. Damn. Smile. It makes people wonder what you've been up to.
taebot Posted January 6, 2003 Posted January 6, 2003 That's a new term, not a new phenomona. It is one thing that argues towards older, more mature instructors. If allowed to continue it will hurt morale. Then again, changing human behavior... There are no quick fixes. Do you think given time even a dojo bunny gains self-confidence, self-worth, a redefinition of herself as a woman outside of her baser instincts?
