SaiFightsMS Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 I used to be a rabid baseball fan. Then they had a strike. So I didn't watch the next season. And never really got back into it. So here they are grossly overpaid and ready to strike again. So do things like strikes affect your view of the so called "all american pastime".
Patrick Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 http://www.sportsforums.net Well, I am a big baseball fan, see my avatar? I believe that fans WILL come back, most of the diehard ones anyway, but I do believe that players and owners are taking advantage of this. ZeRo Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 im english and no nothing about this kinda thing. why are they striking? why did they strike?
BlueDragon1981 Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 https://www.sportsforums.net would be a good place to disguss this. I dont think there should be a strike. It is a sport and you are suppose to have fun playing sports. It should not be all about money.
ZR440 Posted August 19, 2002 Posted August 19, 2002 I'm with your Sai. I never got back into it either after the last one. I might watch a playoff game if there's nothing else on the tube, but it just isn't the same. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
Pacificshore Posted August 19, 2002 Posted August 19, 2002 I was never really into watching baseball except during the world series. These guys are overpaid and a bunch of premadonnas if they don't get what they want. I mean really how much money do you you need to never have to do anything useful in life . But it's not just the players, the owners have dug themselves their own graves.....greedy freaks Di'DaDeeeee!!!Mind of Mencia
metalhead Posted August 19, 2002 Posted August 19, 2002 I lost most of my interest after the last strike. I have no interest in millionaires fighting with billionaires over an obsenely large pile of money. "Do not assume I share your prejudices"
Red J Posted August 29, 2002 Posted August 29, 2002 I really lost interest after the last stike. These guys are way overpaid. No wonder it costs an arm and a leg for a hot dog and a drink. The whole spirit of the game is lost when money is the prime focus... I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
G95champ Posted August 29, 2002 Posted August 29, 2002 I will never stop watching. The 94 strike stoped me from watching as much as I once did. Big Mac himself got me back in the game in the late 90's. I hope they go on strike and I hope the Owners bring in replacement players and finish the season. Play ball without them. Its the game not the players we love..... (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
