Hello Karate Forum members

My name is Mark and i am new on this forum. I am from Europe the Netherlands. I practise Koga Ryu Ninjitsu under the teachings of Sensei Titus Mathijn Jansen from the North of the Netherlands (Groningen).

I started with ninjutsu 6 months ago and i always liked it under Sensei Titus Jansen. Recently a martial arts forum (organisation) has made an investigation about sensei Jansen and the results where that Sensei Titus Jansen has bin exposed as a fraud. He has bin training the Ashida Kim Ninjitsu and made much up himself, to get students.

Anyway i liked it, but Sensei Titus Jansen has bin throwed out of the sportscenter because he did not paid the rent on time. Now the school is closed and sensei titus starts a new dojo in another city. But the sensei has many problems at the moment, and with that i am really dissapointed that he is a fraud. Because i liked the classes.

I do not know what is right to do now, shall i leave the school of Sensei Jansen or shall i stay?

I do not want to be connected with ashida kim... If you want to know more about sensei titus go search : sensei titus jansen in youtube.

But are there some experts here that can post usefull advice here?

Thank you!

If you want to do Ninjitsu, stay off of that other forum. They will mock you mercilessly. They consider all Ninjitsu a fraud.

That being said, there are more applicable arts for the modern world, but if you are getting what you want out of it, who cares what the Bullies think.

Because in the most part it is, but that doesn't necessarily make it any different from most ma, and it's not a reason to not practice it.

Ninjutsu as an art is/was very real, even to the point where some "legit" koryu like katori Shinto ryu mention it in their curriculum.

The problem that most of the stuffy koryu guys (like me) have with it is the quality of what is being taught in many (not all) schools.

Why did you take up Ninjitsu and not Karate or Kung Fu or Jujitsu or Hapkido?

It's ninjitsu man. Why wouldn't he wanna? I don't mean that to say that he did it for the name to say "I'm studying it" but because it has been known as throughout history been known as the most versitile deadly and quick form of martial art.

However I won't answer for him all in all lol

How is "tiger palm" or "drunkn fist" better than ninjitsu?

Why did you pick up your own systems of choice rather than others? Not everyone has the same views, goals, ideas, or desires.
