sensei8 Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 DVD's can be used, but one needs to be very careful across the board, and in that, nothing can replace a qualified instructor, nor should one try to. I think students can benefit from DVD's only as a reference and back-up at home when the instructor isn't present; to free a confused mind and a mind that's forgotten for the moment...to jar the memory free....for that AHA moment. **Proof is on the floor!!!
Lee M Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I agree your going to get better results from training with an Instructor (if he is good!).I have learn't plenty from DVD's giving me access to learning and coaches that maybe I couldn't travel to easily. That said from my sites there are plenty of people that want to accelerate their skills through DVd's or solely learn from them for whatever reason - time, cost! martial arts training boxing for the streetstreet boxing
