datguy Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Just curious, what does a test in Judo usually consist of? “Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”
Wastelander Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Just curious, what does a test in Judo usually consist of?Demonstrating techniques and randori, typically. Many Judo dojo have test curriculum and you can ask what techniques they will focus on for your test, but others focus primarily on randori and shiai--I know my last Judo instructor based promotions almost solely on how you do in competition. "ok, well i must warn you, im an orange belt on karateforums!"
