Karateka63 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I remember in TKD my body kinda had turrets when it came to bo staff(I kept accidentally hitting myself lol)So my sensia had me try nunchuku and he saw I liked them lol so he had me train with nunchuku as my first training weapon but he still didn't like how sloppy my form was with them so one day he traded me my foam nunchuku for his metal nunchuku and lets just say my form improved quickly every mistake I made hurt so bad I didn't want to mess up anymore. senseikellam Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 The easiest to learn is simply that which holds your interest! Doesn't matter what others say is easy. If you are not interested in say the bo staff or tonfa, etc., then learning it would probably be difficult. After all, you have to be willing to pick up a weapon to learn it. Can't learn if you just let it sit on the shelf and stare at it. Stick with what you have a passion for. Sensei KellamKarate is a way of life!http://cranemartialarts.ecrater.com/
SlowHands Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 the escrima stick, imo, is the most intuitive weapon you could learn. there are no moving parts like a nunchaku, the length does not prohibit you in narrow areas like a bo, and its easy to find something similar to it on the street than either of those weapons.
Liver Punch Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 The easiest "weapon" should be your mind and your awareness skills. If you aren't around to fight, you win the fight.I thought it meant you lost by default in a forfeit. "A gun is a tool.
