Due to High Traffic, Forum Access to Be Cut to Specific Days

Recommended Posts

Edit: This was an April Fools joke. :) I hope that everyone had a fun day.

Hello,

Thank you for visiting KarateForums.com.

Having a lot of traffic can be a good problem to have, when you are speaking of an online community like this one. That is, until your financial resources cannot cover the traffic that you are receiving. And we are getting close to that point, here at KarateForums.com.

In order to compensate for that, we have devised a plan whereby access to the forums will be limited to certain days of the week based upon what the first letter of your username is. For example, my username is Patrick, which obviously starts with a P.

Please consult the list below, in order to see what days of the week you will be able to access the forums.

Usernames starting with numbers, special characters or letters A-C: Mondays and Fridays.

Usernames starting with letters D-P: Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Usernames starting with letters Q-Z: Wednesdays and Sundays.

Thursdays will remain as an open day off, if you will, for the forums. These limitations will be set in place beginning on April 10.

Please note that this will only apply to when you are logged in: viewing threads as a logged in member, subscribing to threads, posting, viewing and sending private messages, updating your profile, etc.

On these days, you will still be able to access the forums as a guest and view and search within them. These day limitations will not apply to members of staff, who are tasked with keeping the community on track everyday.

I apologize for having to take such aggressive action but hope in doing so that the long term stability of this community will be achieved.

Thank you for your time and understanding.

Sincerely,

Patrick
