Taping and Straping Rules

Hi, I'm new to these forums but I have a keen intrest in sports therapy. I am currently studying at college and as part of our current assignment we have to speak about a sport we love and the sports taping and straping rules. I have chosen 3 of my favourite sports, Karate, Judo and Gymnastics. I have looked everywhere (even the officail websites) yet no luck. I was hoping anyone on this forum could shed some light on the rules of taping and strapping in any of these 3 sports?

Thank you in advance for any contribution :)

You're gonna have trouble as the rules on Taping change from event to event. Some let you do the wrists only, others let you do fingers. Some don't allow any at all. It's very inconsistent.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by straping.
