Noticed something at training the other day:-

I exhale when doing any basic technique, punch block etc. However can end up feeling nackered and a bit light headed. Have even been told I loose all colour in my face at times. I wondered if I am not getting enough oxygen into my body becasue I am always trying to breathout on a move.

What do other people do?

Am I possibly over doing it?

Help!

Cheers,

Tintin

Tell your instructor/s your problem and ask them to watch you. They will be a better resource than us, because without actually seeing you we can only speculate.

Make sure to inhale in between the moves. Otherwise, you could pass out. If the problem persists for even a few more days, you should certainly get to a physician. These symptoms could indicate much bigger problems.

Agreed, on all points. Make sure to breathe in as much as you breathe out.

You may be exhaling too forcefully so you are in a sense knocking the wind out of yourself on every move-loosing too much residual in your lungs. Try a more controlled exhalation-perhaps through pursed lips to see if it makes a difference.

Thankyou,

I certainly will mention it in the next class. I think I have just developed it as a bad habit, but only just noticed on Saturday.

Cheers,
