sensei8 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 (edited) Hopefully, you here will enjoy Unsu as done here by Sensei Paul Walker... As slow as this kata is being performed: what Bunkai did you see? Edited January 19, 2011 by sensei8 **Proof is on the floor!!!
sensei8 Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 Doh! Sorry! Yes I did! I fixed them all...again...sorry! **Proof is on the floor!!!
honoluludesktop Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I think his movements were excellent, but IMO his fight mind eye was turned off, thus no bunkai. When you do slow kata, good fight mind eye is even more noticeable. Still the video has good value as a demonstration of basic movement.
sensei8 Posted January 23, 2011 Author Posted January 23, 2011 Now that I've thought about it...this thread's pretty bad. Sorry!! **Proof is on the floor!!!
Chuck Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Now that I've thought about it...this thread's pretty bad. Sorry!! I disagree, since this video IMO is pretty good instruction.
simonw Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Lovely kata Unsu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vs5xM4-Rx0&feature=related No short cuts just hard work
bushido_man96 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 I see simple block/strike counters to start out with. The middle section with the front kicks is beyond me. I'm sure there is some movement point there, but I can't see it.The pull in and front kick could be a clinch and low kick, pulling the bad guy in, or could be a pulling motion into a reap. The jump and spin at the end...no clue. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
simonw Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 I agree with Bushidoman No short cuts just hard work
