My instructor pulled me aside during my last class and told me that I'm testing for my blue belt (3rd Gup) on Jan 27!!! At our dojo, we obtain multiple stripes before we test for a belt. Each stripe test is a kata or a set 1 step defenses. After you obtain your last stripe there is a 2 to 4 month period where you work on all the things that you learned to obtain each stripe. Then the belt test consists of multiple kata, 1 step defenses, and sparring.

The thing is.... I just received my last stripe so I'm not getting that 2 to 4 month period to prepare!!! I workout several times a week so the physical part of the test is not a problem but as most can attest to getting my forms perfected is difficult.

Right now my head is spinning!!!

Awesome! I'm sure he has confidence in your forms or he wouldn't ask you to test so soon. You'll do awesome, I'm sure.
