isshinryu5toforever
Hopefully I'll be doing it here. I want to study North Korea. This is the best place to do that. Government grants here are a little easier to come by as well. It will ease the burden a bit.As far as what the police and military do, I'm sure they do TKD, but I think the police also practice Judo to a much larger extent. I'm not positive before. I could ask around I suppose, but it's not that big a deal. I don't plan on getting arrested haha. He who knows others is wise. isshinryu5toforever
Palgwe are done, but not for gradings and not by everyone. It's the same all over. For official gradings, you only need the Taeguk. Unless you KNOW you're going to a dojang where they will use the Palgwe forms don't bother with them. Even if they do the Palgwe forms, they will STILL do the Taeguk forms because they absolutely must. He who knows others is wise. kozushi
Two former South Korean soldiers visited my house today, one in his 50s the other in his 20s. Both learned the Taeguk forms and neither had ever even heard of the Palgwe! I guess that cinches it! 2010: Budokan Judo Senior (18yrs+) Champion. bushido_man96
My dad actually learned the Pal Gwe's back when he started TKD when I was very little. Its funny how some end up learning them in other places, but in Korea, they don't as much.I haven't seen a Pal Gwe form in a while, but I bought a book a few years back by Sang H. Kim, in which he and another master have both the Tae Gueks and the Pal Gwes recorded. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
