Nunchaku recommendations?

Hi guys,

 

I am wondering: What company would you recommend to buy top quality self-defense style nunchaku from? I'd like a good strong pair that *could* be used in a fight if necessary. I know most companies make them only for practice. I'd like a pair that is good for both. I'd like them round a corded, with their natural color intact. Can you recommend a company that makes them to my specifications? And does this company have a Web address?

Asian World Martial Arts is a good place to buy stuff from. And yes they do have a web address, you might have to search google for their site but i know one exists.

 

I know there are mant places in Okinawa and Japan that sell top quality martial art supplies, just use the internet to find a suitable pair.

where do you live coz most contrys have a thing about carrying nunchaku. just check b4 coz otherwise you could be totally dead if you have to use them. you could get in serious trouble is what im trying to say so keep it safe.

You can do a search for Okinawan weapons on the internet, and you will find several sites that offer custom made weapons. They can be expensive however. There is a site http://www.dojowear.com that carries custom nunchucks or nunchucks made by Shureido. They come direct from Okinawa and cost about $45.00. Take a look at the site and see if that is what you are looking for. Hope this helps.

They carry quite a few different types. I've used the kind they carry in impact training before and they are indestructable.

If your not good working with your hands I would go with http://www.awma.com

 

If you are good with working with your hands I would suggest you make your own pair. That way you can make them to suit you. You might have to make a couple pairs till your satisfied. If you need instructions check my sig.
