People in the martial arts generally have a much better success rate in the USA. (of course this is based on what you call the rate)

Most kids who study martial arts the majority of there lives until they are 18 usually end up with: Better Grades, Better Attitudes, and a better respect for people.

Even schools that had boxing(sole called violent sports) had better success rates than the ones who didnt. It teaches discipline and teamwork. Unfortanatly schools are afraid to have boxing and other items like that an activity. The boxing programs in the US are going away in schools. I dont think any around here have one.

Elvis did train in karate, so did Priscilla. His 1st and 2nd dan ranking were probably legitimately earned. He started training while staitioned in Germany while in the army. He later wore and elaborite gi(?) with a 7th dan rank on the belt. This is what I remember from an article in Black Belt a few years ago.

Jet Li had like around 9 gold medals by the time he was 18. He has also preformed for President Reagan. He is now 39 years old and he is only about 5'5" tall. When asked if he could take down 15 people at once he laughed and said no not in the real world only in the movies. He is probably one of the 10 fastest men in the world. (with his martial arts....not running and that kind of stuff)
