evergrey
cejames- it is an accomplishment that I found meaning in!If you wonder what practical application my style may hold, you're welcome to come out and watch a class at the only kyokushin dojo in the east bay- it isn't hard to find! Most of the time we drill and spar with contact. But once a month, we break stuff. http://kyokushinchick.blogspot.com/"If you can fatally judo-chop a bull, you can sit however you want." -MasterPain, on why Mas Oyama had Kyokushin karateka sit in seiza with their clenched fists on their thighs. JiuJitsuNation
um ouch! Somehow I think a whole demo of me choking bricks and locking up bats just wouldn't have the same effect! lol What is it with you people and beating up on inanimate objects! haha funny you should say that.. I've always wondered if any of you guys had ever attempted armbar-ing a pole or something and seeing if you could bent it. Think it was Rickson Gracie that armbarred a crash test dummy on Fight Science...A lot of old stories say that Masahiko Kimura practiced his throws on a tree. With how crazy he was about Judo, and how crazy good he was at Judo, I wouldn't doubt it.This is true but it didn't involve much pain. This is done today on poles, and cages in the gym. Probably not what everyone assumes. https://www.1jiujitsunation.com

Is this similar to what he did? https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

isshinryu5toforever
Oh, I wasn't talking about pain, I was just talking about throwing or grappling with inanimate objects.
