try a KWON kata gi from http://www.kata-gi.com/karate.php

it worked well for me and I was actually able to talk to someone when I had question instead of being pushed aside or dealing with voice mail.

You might get better advice if you told us a little more about what you're looking for. Karate? Judo? A beginner gi? Your first heavy weight? What's expensive? $30, $50 or $100?

IF you are looking for middle weight cotton/poly gi, I would suggest Karate Depot - $30 (I have one and its a good value)

If you want a 100% cotton I would suggest budomas.com, the have an awsome gi for under $60 that would cost near 100 or more on other sites(I also have 2 of these and I love them).
