KarateTips Posted July 31, 2002 Posted July 31, 2002 Many times I've heard people talk about encounters they have had with people who are drugged or drunk out of their heads. I'd like to know what you think about this kind of situation. How do you deal with an aggressive person who may not respond to your attack/defence because they simply don't feel it? What would you do? How would you overcome this situation? Daimyou Posted July 31, 2002 Posted July 31, 2002 I have experienced this before. The resolution is a simple one. He may not feel pain, but if he cannot walk, or if his bones, just simply aren't able to operate because they're not in one piece. Then it doesn't matter if he feels the pain or not, the situation will be over. One of my experiences caused me to break the knee of my assailant, bones were popping out the side of his knee. He didn't screem or even feel it. But, he couldn't walk, thus he could not hurt me. So there's your answer, just break your opponent. I hope this helps your quest for answers. In the warriors code, there's no surrender.
ZeRo Posted July 31, 2002 Posted July 31, 2002 good advice. break them then i think you should phone an ambulence
G95champ Posted July 31, 2002 Posted July 31, 2002 When people are feeling no pain it is hard to hurt them. This is why everyone MUST know how to use and apply several simple chokes. I don't care how messed up you are when the lungs don't get air the brain don't get blood and you pass out. No pain or damage done but a nice nap to help them get ready for the hang over. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
ZeRo Posted July 31, 2002 Posted July 31, 2002 i agree with G95champ i dont wanna be reponsable for things guys knees. a choke is a far better way of making sure the threat is no longer a threat, whilst still making sure the drunken guy who doesnt know what hes doing can walk the nest morning.
shuriken_girl Posted August 2, 2002 Posted August 2, 2002 I totally agree...plus if he's messed up from drugs he'll be easier to grab and then strangle. *-----*-----*Shuriken: art of Japanese blade throwingShorin-ryu karate with influences from White Crane Kung Fu15 years old
