sensei8
If you're not a baseball fan, then this might not be interesting to you, but, if you are a baseball fan, check this out...http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/The-Great-Gazoo-helmets-were-everywhere-at-the-A?urn=mlb,255836I think this is a good idea considering what a 90 mph fastball will do to you when you get hit in the temple/ear area of your head. I've never understood why the majors shunned the baseball helmets of little league in the first place, but, nonetheless they [MLB] did. I hope this new Gazoo helmet becomes a rule for the safety of the players. **Proof is on the floor!!!

sensei8
If it makes the game safer, I hope they find a way to make it work.PatrickI concur! MLB would have to make it not a choice, but a rule. If I remember right, the HANS device in NASCAR wasn't mandatory before 2001. Dale Earnhardt made it a choice of his to not wear the HANS device because it was uncomfortable for him, and Dale considered the device ineffective. Now, the HANS device IS mandatory. **Proof is on the floor!!!
GeoGiant
Am I the only one that was thinking this thread was about the Flintstones?Seriously though, anything that provides protection is a good thing. I can't image that ball coming at me at 100+ mph much less hitting me in the head!!!
