SheepSkills Posted July 29, 2002 Posted July 29, 2002 They came to me on a cold summer day, they're numbers were enormous and it must have been 100 degrees outside. Tons of them, white, fluffy creatures chanting something unlegible. Interesting creatures they were, gentle, curious, and as soft as cotton. It seemed as though they were lost, wondering around like... well they were just lost ok. Then one of them came up to me and handed me what looked like a piece of wood with some wheels attached to it. I wasn't sure what to do at first, then he spoke the five words I would never forget. "Skate or die, Never walk". Then began my journey......................
G95champ Posted July 29, 2002 Posted July 29, 2002 Welcome (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
rabid hamster Posted July 29, 2002 Posted July 29, 2002 what are you talking about? anyway, welcome to the forums! It is only with the heart that one can see clearly, for the most essential things are invisible to the eye.
KickChick Posted July 29, 2002 Posted July 29, 2002 ah ... a skater with martial arts experience .. Cool -- Welcome ! Skateboarders defy the laws of physics, the truth is that they're just using them to their advantage. Very similar to martial arts ....with flying acrobatics, skaters leap and skid over and onto obstacles, executing flips and turns of ever increasing complexity. People get hooked on skating as well as martial arts ...to the same degree somewhat. Sheep huh? _________________ KarateForums Sensei 1st dan Tae Kwon Do (ITF) Cardio/Fitness Kickboxing Instr.
