Mistassailant5 Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Hello. This is a very weird problem, but it is a problem with my stances. The thing is that the problem isn't in my stance, it is actually when I am NOT in my stance. I (apparently) have practiced so much the my torso naturally shifts to the left (like in my stance) and I have to force my body to restraighten. Can someone help me please? I am not a fighter, I am a guardian.
ninjanurse Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 What stance are you referring to? If you are only doing one stance one way then I suggest changing to the other side for a while....however, since there are many different stances to be practiced I find it hard to imagine that your body would become "unbalanced" in this way if you practiced all easily. I think we need more information to be able to help you. "A Black Belt is only the beginning."Heidi-A student of the artsTae Kwon Do,Shotokan,Ju Jitsu,Modern Arnishttp://the100info.tumblr.com/
bushido_man96 Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Just like anything, I'd say its something you just have to practice. You are already concious of it. Now, just work on it. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

Cable Dog Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Due to that I started in Shudokan and moved into Hayashi-ha Shito-ryu, I had the issue that I leaned forward in zenkutsu-dachi, and torqued with my punches. After a couple months of watching myself in the mirror and forcing myself to readjust every time, I now immediately go into the correct (for H-h S-r) zenkutsu-dachi.My advice: Practice the right way, again and again and again.
