Is it entirely based off Ju-Jitsu or does Judo have submission techniques that are entirely it's own?

There are some submission techniques that I believe are exclusively to judo, usually the gi chokes were primarily used in judo

There are different things written as to the origins of all styles and with discrepancies. Many styles of karate, jiu jitsu and judo eventually find themselves back to one man. Jiu Jitsu and Judo are siblings and any submissions would be strictly unique to the instructor, association etc.

It's hard to pinpoint whether any of the Judo submissions are exclusive to the art. There's no real documentation as to what Kano created himself and what he brought in from his Jujitsu experience. If I had to guess...nothing in Judo is original as far as submissions go. It all came from jujitsu. But that's my opinion based on what I've learned in aiki jujitsu
