For my up-coming demonstration, I"m going to break a board in the air, doing a Dive Roll/Shoulder Roll/Cat-Break-fall over a 4 feet person. I'm having trouble getting enough height! I want to go higher. I can jump straight up very high, but I believe it's my FORM which is preventing me from jumping high while doing this roll.

For those of you who know how to do this, give me some tips!!! Should I jump and fall in an arc? does it look better with distance or height?

Is there a web site you can direct me too.?

Hey, yes to increase your vertical you should do jumping excercises. There is a certain type called plyometrics, search for routines on the internet. This shold help enourmously.

Also good tips on jumping is make sure there is no fear, and extend on everything, tuck in only at the peak of your jump. sometimes a little jump at the beggining helps get more height, as soon as u touch the ground on the first little jump use all your power in your whole body and "explode" off the ground.

Also doing calf and ankle excercises help vertical a lot.

hope this helps....if u want some more details, just ask.

Make sure that you use your calvs. Use your calfs to get a little more spring in you jump.

Also, there is an exercise that we do ( cant remember the name) where you squat all the way down and using your ankle and calf muscles push up with your feet ensuring not to straighten you knees any. Try and go as high as you can and just bounce away.
