What are the weapons at your dojo?

We use saya tonfa and bo

We start learning bo basics at orange belt, at blue we learn a bo kata, tokamine no kun (sp?), at green we do bo bo kumite, a pre arage vo vs bo fight, and we also learn saya basics at green at purple we learn kusanku saya and tonfa basics at brown we learn shafa(sp) a tonfa kata and urashi bo first degree black belt we learn vo saya kumite, second degree we learn chatara no saya (sp?) and 3rd degree we learn shishi no kun no dia

sojobo, sorry for the late reply. Yes, we learn to use them each from both sides of the coin. To use yourself and defend against.

My Style Wado Ryu we don't use weapons. Our weapons are our Hands and Feet. Although when I do enter the Brown Belts I will be using these Wooden Knives as Defense Practices.

The only difference between the possible and the impossible is one's will.

Where I used to train (Wado Ryu Karate/Ju-Jitsu/Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido) the syllabus went:

Unarmed defence against:

tanto

jo

bokken

Offensively and defensively:

bo

jo

nunchaku

sai

tonfa

kama

bokken/shinai (iaido/kendo)

Kata only:

bokken/katana (iaido)

naginata

I think the club I am hoping to join soon is completely weaponless (Shotokan Karate).

We (well our sensei) trains in a few weapon styles, so currently here is the list.

Bo

Sai

Tonfa

Nuntai bo (sp?)

Eku

Tekko , both horseshoe and stirrup style

Titsu

Nunchuku

Nuntai Sai

He has not yet started training with, but is studying a style that teaches them.

Timbe and rochin (sp?)

Kama
