What do you think about people who train dogs for betting money in fights.

Dog fighting is thouroughly disgusting and totally inhumane.

And, rottweilers and pits are sweet, wonderful loving dogs when they're raised properly. I get so angry hearing about idiots training them to be aggressive because they think it's cool, then dumping them at the shelter when (surprise!) they become dangerous.

I don't think people should really raise animals to fight. It's a pretty nasty business.

yeah.. i hate how people are banning pit bulls in some places now. pit bulls are loving dogs, it's just that you have to properly socialize and exercise them, and also give them lots of attention.

my mate told me he is buying a rottweiler and keeping him in the dark 24hours a day, so that he would be more vicous

That seems so bizarre to me but it's really common. I visit a pets forum regularly, and more than once some moron has come in saying he bought an 8 week old pit bull pup, needs to make it more aggressive, and wants to know something stupid like whether putting hot sauce on its food will help. Where do people come up with these psycho ideas?? I'm sure your friend will succeed, and when the poor dog maims him or one of his family members it will be killed, and everyone will shake their heads and blame the breed. And then he'll get a new puppy. So many people are arguing over who should be allowed to adopt human children, don't even get me started on this....

I think Dog Fights are stupid and Cruel

 

Im not afraid of any dog. Show anything fear (mostly any animal and even insects) they will attack you more than if you dont have fear. Animals can sense fear. I personally dont fear any dog.

 

I do know that if you stare a German Shepard in the eyes he or she will get pissed at you. Some dogs get pissed and others back away. That is kind of a way to see if they are aggressive or not. Seems to be more in German Shepards though. (I think they all get mad when you do it.)

 

(Hey if you have a question for what dogs were bread for ask me. My sister is a vet tech and she knows what most were bread for)

 

A bulldog was bread for a thing call Bull Baiting. Boxers were bread to hunt Bear.

If you do get attacked i have heard it is worse to oppose resistance, for instance kicking and punching the dog will only make its attack more fierce.
