Definitely pumped for the postseason. Our toddler shows random flashes of interest, so that is fun.

That's exciting to hear the PJ has the Yankee twinkle in his eye.

GO YANKEES!!

Pete Rose has died.  Rose was not only a famous baseball player but also one of the most controversial athletes in American history.  Baseball fans have spent decades arguing if Rose should or should not put in the Hall of Fame. He will get likely in now that he has passed.  His 4,256 hits are still the most all time.  Pete Rose was 83.

Royals are back in the playoffs, and are up a game on Baltimore now.  Hopefully, those games are televised where I can watch them.

On a sad note, Pete Rose passed away.  RIP Charlie Hustle.

Very sad for the passing of Pete Rose. Sorry he never earned his place in the MLB Hall Of Fame.

Yes, I'm cheering on the Royals for the win over the Orioles in the WC because the Orioles make me nervous whenever they play my Yankees. I'd rather play the Royals, not that the Royals are an easy win, not in the least at all, but between the Royals and the Orioles, I'd rather play against the Royals for the ALDS. That's just me.

Glad to see that the Tigers beat the Astros, so, I'm cheering for the Tigers to win that WC series because the Astros seem to have the Yankees number whenever they battle against one another in the playoffs.

GO YANKEES!!

Well, well, well...the ALDS is all set up. The Tigers swept the Astros and the Royals swept the Orioles in their Wild Card. Of which, I'm tickled pink because I didn't want to have to meet the Astros in the ALCS because lately the Astros seem to have the Yankees figured out and I also didn't want to battle with the Orioles in the ALDS because they can be really hot as they were all regular season which was no real surprise that they ended in the standings right behind my Yankees.

Padres swept the Braves in the Wild Card and find themselves now in the unenviable position of squaring up to the Dodgers in the NLDS. Brewers and Mets play tomorrow in a win takes it all in their Wild Card game: winner between these two teams will meet the Phillies in the NLDS.

Brian's Royals and my Yankees will play ALDS best of 5 game 1 this Saturday, October 5th in Yankee Stadium. Should be a great series. Yankees are 9-8 against the Royals during the postseason, and the Yankees went 5-2 against the Royals in the regular season. Yankees are starving to reach the WS again since they've been denied 15 years in a row. While the Royals are biting at the bit themselves to return to the WS after a 9-year hiatus.

GO YANKEES!!

Yankees took the 'W' in the ALDS game 1 against the Royals with a final score of 6-5.

That fame saw 5 lead changes, which is the most in the MLB postseason history.

Game 2 is tomorrow at Yankee Stadium. Ragan will be on the hill for the Royals and Rodon will be the starter for the Yankees.

GO YANKEES!!

Royals defeated the Yankees in game 2 of their ALDS series by the score of 4-2. New the Yankees travel to KC as the Royals host the Yankees for ALDS game 3 this Wednesday at Kauffman Stadium.

Royals' bullpen did their jobs quite admirable against the cold bats of the Yankees in game 2. Schmidt on the mound for the Yankees and Lugo on the mound for the Royals for game 3. Not too fond of what I read recently that the Royals are favored to win game 3. Partly because Lugo only allowed 4 runs in 14 innings with 2 starts against my Yankees in the regular season. One shiny light for my Yankees is that Schmidt, who was suffering with a lat strain last month, will be making his very first playoff start going 5-5 with a 2.85 ERA in 16 starts this season...sounds and looks good when I type this but how cold is his arm??!!

GO YANKEES!!

Saw on the news today that the Tropicana Casino was blown up overnight to make room for the start of the A's stadium.  I stayed at the Tropicana once and visited there a few times, one of the historic casinos.  For those who do not know, it is located...or was located...right on Tropicana Ave and Las Vegas Blvd on the south end of the strip.

The same day the Tropicana Casino came down, the roof of Tropicana Park in Tampa was ripped off during the hurricane.  The roof as basically gone and will be expensive to repair.

Bad day for Tropicana!
