bushido_man96
The transient population in and out of Vegas will help some, and the surrounding areas, around 4 hours away, will probably look to support the teams, as well. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
sensei8
That's a great point, Brian. San Fransisco is 9 hours away from Las Vegas, Los Angelas is 4 hours away from Las Vegas, Phoenix is 5 hours away from Las Vegas, and Anaheim is 4 hours away from Las Vegas. Sounds like I'm finding anything to support my arguments because I want to see my Yankees live, and I don't want to drive out of Vegas. **Proof is on the floor!!! bushido_man96
Well I don't blame you for that, Bob! https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
DarthPenguin
I never realised that Vegas was that close to LA. With the sheer size of the USA i thought it was a lot further!Fingers crossed for you then.I'm looking forward to this season a lot - should be a good one! sensei8
The A's ballpark bill dies with the Nevada lawmakers.Senate Bill 509 struck out with the Nevada Legislature. If that Bill had passed it would've earned up to $380 million in public funds for the construction of the A's planned 30K seat $1.5 billion Vegas Strip ballpark on the site of the Tropicana Las Vegas resort. The public funding included $180 million from the state in transferrable tax credits, of which $90 million would be repaid via a sports entertainment improvement district set up around the 9-acre stadium site. Clark County would contribute $145 million, of which $120 million would be repaid by revenue generated by the tax district, with $25 million going toward infrastructure improvements.MLB Commissioner, Rob Manfred indicated that the A's relocation could be approved by the owners meeting in June 2023 in New York.I've never been favorite about having a cities residents footing any money in the relocation and/or construction of any baseball team. The owner(s) want to move and/or build a new stadium, then do it with their own money. Not with any of my hard earned money. Sure, I want the A's to relocate here in Las Vegas but my reasoning is pure selfish. Having the A's here in Vegas means that I get to see my beloved Yankees in person whenever the A's host the Yankees in their brand new ballpark right here in Sin City.GO YANKEES!! **Proof is on the floor!!! Yeah the stadium thing in North American sports has always puzzled me. For a capitalist country the sports leagues seem to run on a very socialist model.By way of comparison i can't imagine any football team over here receiving funding for building their own stadium from the public. They are always built with club money or private investment - though we do have a lot of older stadia as a result.Have never understood why it is down to the city to provide any financing at all tbh. If they all refused it would hopefully stop soon!

DarthPenguin
As a Mariners fan i admit to being disappointed that we got close but missed out.Now i'm hoping for a Verlander win tbh - he is (to my mind anyway) a genuine great and i would like to see him have another world series on his resume. Have a feeling it will be the Braves though - Acuna is having one of those seasons that seems almost destined to be capped off with a title
