PKC

Featured Replies

Is anyone associated with the PKC (Professional Karate Commission) If so what region?

I'm a lifetime member of the PKC. However, it's been a long time since I did anything with them. I competed alot from 98 through 02. I live in Ohio and did most of my competition here. Although I traveled to the grand nationals in Indiana as well as doing several tourneys in PA.

Do you remember Jeff Davidson? He is an Isshinryu karateka, from Indiana. He is my instructor. I was hoping i could find people in the PKC just to know someone when i go to some tournaments.

The name is familiar to me. However, as I mentioned, I'm from Ohio and am more familiar with those instructors. Also, since starting in BJJ, I haven't competed in the PKC. It's a fun circuit though. Have fun.

I train in Boardman Ohio and have been to the Poland Tourney many times. Am I remembering correctly to thin that Dave Buker puts it on? It usually a very fairly run tourney. Have fun.

You are correct  Ya it is a good tournament. Wow !! You are not to far from me.

white owl and ps1,

I'm about to ask you both a really dumb question. Well, here goes...

Are tournaments, PKC and the like, held frequently where you both live during the winter months considering the amouts of snow/ice that falls in those two states?

See...I told you it was a dumb question.

**Proof is on the floor!!!

When I competed there was about 1 to two tournaments every month.

Yes there is. Believe it or not there is a big one in at the end of Jan. every year in Erie PA and it usually has well over 300 competers. This year I heard 500.
