koreantiger81 Posted July 22, 2002 Posted July 22, 2002 Look at him right in the eye. Kinesiologist/TrainerBlack-Belt
ckdstudent Posted July 22, 2002 Posted July 22, 2002 The clavicle, just in the middle of the collarbone, you can keep their entire body in view from that point. Looking them in the eye can be a serious error, you can get overly focussed and stop reacting to techniques. ---------Pil SungJimmy B
Bretty101 Posted July 22, 2002 Posted July 22, 2002 Focus as in look at or concentrate on? Look at... eyes, rear shoulder (always first to move before any technique), mid section (true indication of distance, centre of gravity) or concentrate on opponents breathing people act very differently at various states of breath, breathing in or out or at either peak. Concentrate on... Where do you start, I'd say good footwork, if you get that sorted without thinking about it your balance and drilled techniques will flow nicely. Bretty
koreantiger81 Posted July 22, 2002 Posted July 22, 2002 ok..let me rephrase it. Yes, look into the eyes AND the rear shoulder or the clavile. ckdstudent, I think it would be an error to not look into the eyes at all. YOu'll be missing out on facial expressions telegraphed, when one yells and executes a kick or punch. [ This Message was edited by: koreantiger81 on 2002-07-22 07:01 ] Kinesiologist/TrainerBlack-Belt
