quinteros1963
Find a good boxing gym and try a 6 week training camp. Boxing is my primary background and I can tell you form experience that there is nothing like it. I mix in running (track and field workouts) including, sprinting, long runs and plyometrics for fast twitch muscles and cardio. Sparring is also very good as well as bag and pad work. After 6weeks you will feel like you never have before. Its a great supplement to MA. The past is no more; the future is yet to come. Nothing exist except for the here and now. Our grand business is not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but to do what's clearly is clearly at hand...Lets continue to train!
Homie007
Yeah I boxed for five years but boxers have a build for well boxing and that is what it compliments. I'm really looking, if such a thing exist, that compliments martial Arts. Like for example MMA fighters routine is close but different to boxing routines because you have different needs in MMA than boxing. You muscles need more and less attention in different areas. I know this for a fact because Im in good shape but I know that I need to work more in specific areas to develop the speed and power I want. So when I came to this I knew that my normal routine was not sufficient anymore to my needs as a fighter.
